Nigeria had qualified for the 2019 AFCON after they thumped on Sudan with 5 goals to nil.
In the First leg in Sudan,Nigeria lost to Sudan 1-0 but on the second leg, they won with an aggregrate of 5-1.
Taiwo Awoniyi was the one who opened the victory by scoring after nine minutes. Ndifreke Effiong doubled the team’s lead on 26 minutes with powerful header into Sudan’s net which brings it to 2-0 at half time.
Substitute Sunday Faleye made it 4-0 with almost his first touch of the ball before Sunusi Ibrahim got the fifth goal for Nigeria in two minutes later.
What a victory to the Nigeria U23 players.
